Is Fish healthier?

 Hi Loves!

I have to admit, I was inspired by earth day.! A while ago during my high school years I viewed a video demonstrating the animal cruelty towards the animals in the food industry and it deeply impacted me enough to become vegetarian for a few years. The majority of people who turn vegetarian will decide to go down that route due to the health benefits that they would like to witness. The majority of people actually have a harder time digesting animal protein and also many experts have claimed that the high stress environment and poor conditions these animals are exposed to deeply affects them and considering we then ingest them. We would be consuming all of the toxicity the animal just underwent.

For many years I personally believed that fish was the healthier route and that it was fine because fish do not feel pain or so I believed. Recent studies have revealed that fish do indeed feel pain and mourn each others death. The fishing industry is under immense scrutiny due to the recent claims that they are overfishing and destroying the oceans habitat. The majority of our carbon stream from the oceans so with this new knowledge I was re-inspired to go down the vegetarian route but due to my personal faith beliefs and health issues do not permit me to fully carry this out. I have recently discovered alternate route to consuming animal products. I always knew about veggie burgers however I didn't know that they had also developed something similar for fish! I would love to encourage everyone to decrease their animal consumption as their main source of protein. Actually considering our oceans are so polluted due to the trash just being thrown into the oceans now among other pollutants in the ocean. Fish is actually not that healthy or safe for consumption. So why not give the alternative options being plant based. I personally will be embarking on this journey as well. I'll probably document how it went for me as well. Lets works together to create a better world to live in. Lets dream for a moment... A world of peace, gentleness, kindness, empathy, and several actions done in love and consideration for one and other! They say it all begins with the person in the mirror so as our friend Michael said "Lets make that change!" Well its been great as always! Be sure to follow, like, subscribe and spread the word to all your loved ones!

Walk your way to Weight loss!

Greetings Friends!

Back again with another simple suggestion for us to spring into action together! Wellness is definitely not easy however even one step along the right path can lead to a beautiful journey. Similarly enough walking can actually lead to weight loss! Yes I said it! Well typically the common concept has long been if you want to lose weight, put on your running shoes and chose your favorite playlist and get outside and go running. While Cardio does have benefits and I do enjoy running form time to time but new research has shown that walking may actually be just as beneficial with less impact and strain on your body! This was first introduced by Dr. Lee who discussed of "Manpo-Kei" which translates to 10,000 steps! In Japan the average person walks about 10,000 steps a day. As we know Japan is largely being studied since they have so many centenarians which makes it a well known blue zone. The more recent studies are indicating that 10,000 steps can lead to weight loss, stress relief, improved glucose levels, and reduced blood pressure. Walking same as with running will assist your body in burning overall body fat! So in America the average person walks about 2,000 to 3,000 steps a day, by increasing our steps we can then in turn burn more calories. 10,000 steps is equivalent to 5 miles which burns and estimated amount of 2000/ 3500 calories. 3,500 calories is equivalent to 1 pound of fat! This means you will see an average of about 1 pound weightless a week if you're consistent with this. Now to walk about 10,000 steps it takes about 40 minutes of walking although you can try and achieve this goal just by being more mindful throughout your day of your goal! This is just another excellent example of a simple and sustainable habit that can lead to lasting and satisfactory results! 10k is our goal and ideally once this step is a habit we can definitely increase our wellness routine to something more challenging but one step at a time!

As always this has been my pleasure! Please be sure to like and subscribe and spread the word! Support is always needed on our wellness journey, so be sure to find a community with the same goals in mind as you!
