Today I Really want to discuss Mindful breathing or also known as Diaphragmatic breathing. With the recent turn of event all around the world, I can see how stressed everyone is. We are living in such an uncertain time with shocking events happening all around us almost on a daily basis. I realize how sometimes it can really be hard to even catch your breath. This is why Mindful breathing is such a great tool to ease our anxiety levels and calm ourselves down into relaxation. There are several benefits emotionally and physically to mindful breathing. Which we will cover today.
Physical:
-Lowers your heart rate
-Lowers your Blood Pressure
-Manage Chronic Pain
-Improve Diabetic Symptoms
-Essential to Asthmatics
Emotional:
-Reduces Depression
-Reduces Anxiety
-Reduces Stress Levels
-Decrease Negative Thinking
-Promotes Relaxation
How To:
Duration: 5-10 minutes
-Focus attention on your breath
-Inhale deep from nose, (feel breath contract from diaphragm, Belly should expand)
-Exhale from mouth (count to 10)
-Repeat 5 to 10 times as needed throughout the day
